In 1995, PRECISION ENGINEERS decided to upgrade its machinery to take us into
the future, confident that we would be able to meet the expectations of any customer
who choose us as a vendor.

| Hitachi Seiki High Performance CNC turning centre is the way we choose to go.
Fitted with 4 metres bar feed, it allows parts up to 50.8 mm to be produced without
any manual input. Any parts larger than 50.8 mm can be cut to length in our
automatic bandsaw and then processed using our 200mm chuck capacity.
Castings can also be machined in this manner. |

The machines are fitted with a 12-position turret allowing us to drill, tap, bore, do internal and external grooving, do internal and external screw cutting as well as knurling.
The machines are also fitted with a one-touch tail stop enabling us to machine
components up to 300-400 mm in length. |

The VF series vertical machining centre is able to handle all second and third operations.
Fitted with a 20-position tool changer, it gives us the ability to countersink, drill,
tap holes, face mill, thread mill, cut slots, cut keyways and fine bore components.
It is also fitted with a fourth axis enabling us to cut squares, hexagons, flats and drill
holes around and along shafts at any angle and distance.

Also in our machine shop, we have a range of cam-automatic lathes retrofitted with
CNC controllers. These machines range from 16 mm capacity and 25 mm capacity
to 42 mm capacity, and all are fitted with 4-metres long bar feed. |
